My Role
Lead Content Development
I was the lead content developer for both the at-home DDoS game and at-location Portal experiences over a total of three months and delivered the global launch to thousands of users worldwide.
Throughout the entire project cycle, I took the challenge of identifying the key gameplay entities in the prototyping stage while working closely with the art and level design teams to polish the mechanics for features like the code ring of the DDoS game, globe interactions with physicality and pin tapping (with auto-centering), etc. The game was also tied to a system thinking with replayability in mind, by adopting a data-driven approach to configure and generate game level data, and designed with a State pattern for game state transitions and a card system for dialogue-driven game progression.
Since the game was developed within the YumeGO app using our built-in Lua engine and SDK, I also took charge of integrating JSON serialization and DoTWeen plugin supports, and a custom event dispatcher to the SDK in order to implement these features in Lua.
